New Voices in Administrative Law Call for Presenters & Commentators
The AALS Section on Administrative Law invites presenters and commentators to join the New Voices in Administrative Law session at the upcoming AALS conference. New Voicesoffers junior scholars an opportunity to get constructive feedback on a paper draft from more senior scholars. The session, which is open to interested observers as well as presenters and commentators, isscheduled for Friday, Jan. 8, from 11:10am-12:25pm.
Full-time, pre-tenure faculty members (including visiting assistant professors and fellows) at AALS member schools are invited to present unpublished work (though papers may be posted on SSRN or similar networks). We welcome early-stage drafts as well as more developed work.
Presenters: If you’d like to present a paper, please email Christine Chabot (christine.chabot@marquette.edu) by Monday, November 2. Write “AALS New Voices” in the subject line; in the email, tell us your paper title, school, tenure status, years in the position (and any previous positions), and whether you have presented at a New Voices session in the past. Please attach an abstract (or draft) of your paper.
We will ask selected presenters to submit a full draft for commentators by Monday, December 7 (and we’ll put them in touch with their commentators before then). The draft need not be journal submission ready; the point is for readers to get papers at a stage when comments can have real benefit.
Commentators: New Voices relies on more senior scholars to provide constructive comments. If you can join us this year, please email Anya Bernstein (anyabern@bu.edu).
This session will be in-person; participants must register for the conference. We hope to see many of you there!
